DON'T FORGET TO SMIZE

The week of cover reveals is over. How crazy fun was that? Did you take advantage of the free giveaways? I can't think of anything more awesome than winning books. Except my box o' heaven, of course.

So, I wanted to take advantage of this cover reveal free Monday to give you an update.

I've started writing book three in my currently unnamed series, aka HOODOO'S PRICE. Chapter two was a bit difficult. Landry didn't want to cooperate. Brat!

Luckily, I got through it. It may need a bit of TLC during editing, but I've moved on to Mala's chapter. She's being a very cooperative sweetie, to me, but not to the character she's arguing with.

I want to bump out at much of this story as possible before I get my edits.

And... drumroll, I have a new author photo.

Out of twenty photos, this was the best. The older I get, the more traumatic it becomes taking an pictures.

It becomes a series of directions rolling through my head: tilt my head, stick out my neck, hide the double chin, suck in my stomach while thinking skinny thoughts, SMIZE!

The most important thing to remember is to be nice to the photographer (hubby) since he has the ability to take my worst, most horrifying picture and post it on Facebook in revenge.

  1. Loving the picture, sis! And good choice.

I get what you mean about taking pictures as you age. It's crazy thinking all those things. I wonder how models do it for a living. Is that why they hardly think at all?

    Okay, mean, I know.

  2. Angie, I've been struggling with my WIP too. And just getting time to write is hard because the ELF (15mo) has SO SO SO much energy. LOL.

    1. I put writing on hold when my kids were little. Now, I regret not making the time to write, I would be so much further along in my career. But, there has to be a balance. And Elf will only be at the cuddly stage for so long. Enjoy it while it lasts. They grow up too fast. Your WIP will be still be there, and you'll find the time to write the story that demands to be told. Good luck.
