But pieces never just fit back together, and when she's betrayed by those she trusts, everything crumbles. Shoving everything she owns into the trunk of her car, Maddie drives south, trying to run from her past.
Eno, North Carolina seems like the perfect place to hide. Working at a local café is light years from Maddie's Manhattan existence and for the first time in a while, she's finding her family. There's Grandma, the café owner; Samantha, the hairstylist next door with plans to make Maddie's life unsuck and Noie, the three year old girl who's stolen Maddie's heart. And then there’s Gabriel Mendez, Noie’s single dad. He’s intrigued Maddie since the first time she met him, and while he has his own secrets, he wants more from her than just friendship. But the past never stays past, and all too soon, Maddie realizes she can't hide from hers. If she can't put the pieces of her shattered life together this time, she'll have no hope for a future.
A future she desperately wants.

TEASER:
“Uh, miss?”
“Daddy, its friend!”
“Noie, she’s sleeping. Miss, are you okay?”
I opened my eyes to see a startling green pair looking down at me. “Are you okay?” he asked again, looking concerned. And like he had just rolled out of bed. Was I dreaming? Because dreaming about him was a welcome change from the usual nightmares I had. Those never had guys who looked like a darker version of Thor. Which was a shame. Thor dreams didn’t end with me waking up screaming.
“I’m fine,” I said, struggling to sit up. He crouched down and offered me a hand. I took it and felt my nerves explode in awareness. There was no way this was a dream. I hoped it wasn’t.

WELCOME TO KPIP– BEGINNINGS by the Partners in ParanormYA
*cue Lone Harvest by Kevin MacLeod (www.incompetech.com) *
Welcome to KPIP, the radio station where Paranormal is
Powerful. For today’s episode of Words and Worlds, we have the ladies of
Partners in ParanormYA. I’m your host, DJ Mister Ree.
Mister Ree: A Guilty Ghost Surprised, by Gwen
Gardner, and They All Fall Down, by
Angela Brown: two great paranormal stories available now. We’re glad to have
both authors here on our show.
Gwen: Our
pleasure.
*Angela nods in agreement*
Mister Ree: So,
doing something different for today’s show. We got an e-mail from Wilmont in
Las Vegas wondering if you have any advice for a newbie starting out in
writing.
Angela: Oh wow,
well, the truth is there’s tons of advice, but advice that really helped me was
to read, read and read some more. It’s amazing how much you can learn from a
great book. Also to write, write and write again. I don’t get to key out a
specific number of words or pages a night. Life gets a little hectic sometimes.
But I try to get in some writing time, even if it’s just a few minutes before I
pass out for sleepy time. And by write, I mean write on a project, do a little
plot brainstorming or working on blog posts so I’m progressing forward, baby
steps and all.
Gwen: What Angela
mentioned is very helpful. I’d like to add that getting in some research time
is good. Begin the process of checking out the various paths to publication.
Self-publishing is what I wanted. I’d done my research and it’s what I pursued.
It isn’t a path for every writer. But don’t rush. Enjoy your newbie-ness, take
your time and enjoy learning the craft of writing and indulging in your story
ideas.
Mister Ree: Great
words of wisdom to impart. And don’t you folks at home part without getting in
on the giveaway and checking out more about A
Guilty Ghost Surprised and They all
Fall Down.
a Rafflecopter giveaway
About A Guilty Ghost Surprised: Indigo Eady and gang are back with a feather and a Chance setting off another twisting-turning investigation to bring a cold case, and loved ones, closure at last.
About They All Fall Down: Free of their duties as Cleanser and Harvestor, Abby and Basil try to move on with their lives. But some secrets remain. And what is done in the dark won’t be good when it comes to light.
